Oct. 31, 2002 — Signal Technology Corp. said it has received a second contract from an arm of the U.S. Defense Department to develop a system of networked microelectronic sensors for military and homeland security.
The new $4 million contract awarded by the Defense MicroElectronics Activity, brings the total to more than $8 million. Signal is the prime contractor of the program, and is working with three other firms and a university to develop the systems.
