US Nanocorp, Villanova share federal award

Oct. 9, 2002 — US Nanocorp Inc. and Villanova University received a Tibbetts Award for their contribution to the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.

David Reisner, president and chief executive of US Nanocorp, and Pritpal Singh, Villanova electrical and computer engineering professor, have worked together since 1997 to attract more than $4.4 million in government contracts for research and development. Each has received SBIR funding in several areas, including the development of smart battery chargers and micropower supplies.

The annual Tibbetts awards, now in their seventh year, are named for Roland Tibbetts, who founded the SBIR program.
