Agilix launches microarray platform

Nov. 1, 2002 — Agilix Corp. said it has launched GenCompass, a whole genome universal microarray technology for pharmaceutical research.

Agilix bills GenCompass as the first “open” microarray platform, enabling global gene expression analysis of nearly any organism. The Connecticut-based company said GenCompass could save time and money on research projects related to functional genomics, or determining genes’ function for disease detection and drug discovery, according to a news release.

The firm provides researchers access to the GenCompass array technology through its GenCompass Expression Profiling Service.
