BioForce Nanosciences announces funding

Nov. 12, 2002 — BioForce Nanosciences, an Ames, Iowa, developer of nanoarray technologies for biomolecular analysis, has received $2.5 million in an ongoing first round of funding, according to Mandy Potter, communications manager. Potter said the goal is to raise $3 million and the company anticipates keeping the round open until January 2003.

Societe Generale Asset Management of Paris, the asset management subsidiary of the Societe Generale Group, invested $2 million. Gulf Stream Capital and unnamed individual investors are also participating.
