MEMS groups link across Atlantic

Nov. 21, 2002 — Two continents’ leading MEMS trade groups say they will join forces on several projects to boost small tech development and commercialization in Europe and North America.

The first project between the U.S.-based MEMS Industry Group and the European microsystems network NEXUS will be creating the first North American User Supplier Club, following NEXUS’ lead in Europe to link MEMS developers with users.

The groups also plan to do a global study on commercialization issues in MEMS and microsystems, including industry statistics and a technology roadmap.
