Nov. 12, 2002 — Japan’s Mitsubishi Corp. said it will launch a joint venture next month for mass producing carbon nanotubes in the United States, according to the Jiji Press English News Service.
The joint venture, dubbed Tailored Material Corp., plans to develop mass-production technology within two years for double-wall carbon nanotubes for field emission displays. The venture will be set up in Tucson, Ariz., at the research facility of its joint venture partner, Materials and Electrochemical Research Corp.
