Jan. 8, 2003 — Centrex Inc. and Emergency Filtration Products Inc. have teamed up to make and sell a complete biological detection system.
Centrex, along with Los Alamos National Laboratory, is developing a Bioterrorism Detection Device using Single Molecule Detection. It is designed to be capable of detecting a variety of biological agents, including smallpox and anthrax, according to a company news release.
Emergency Filtration said it is exploring the use of nanoscale technologies to develop an environmental mask designed to eradicate isolated pathogens. An independent laboratory is testing a version of the mask, the release said.
