Jan. 24, 2003 — STMicroelectronics, a global supplier of semiconductor products, reported fourth quarter earnings of $160.6 million, or 18 cents per share, up from 5 cents per share for the year-earlier period.
Fourth quarter revenues were $1.79 billion, versus $1.45 billion for the fourth quarter of 2001. Full year earnings were $429.4 million, or 48 cents per share. The company’s stock, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange, was at $19.12 per share at around midday today, down from Thursday’s close of $19.80.
