Texas universities take nano to border

Jan. 17, 2003 — Three Texas state universities have expanded the scope of a project designed to boost nanotech education, research and industry in the Rio Grande Valley.

The University of Texas at Dallas, Brownsville and the Pan American campus in Edinburg are collaborating on “Nano at the Border.” The project seeks to create an information exchange network that will include course work, training courses, seminars, technology transfer and commercialization opportunities.

The concept was created last year by the Dallas and Brownsville campuses.
