Gyros licenses microfluidics to Fluidigm

March 20, 2003 — Gyros AB, an Uppsala, Sweden, developer of microfluidic laboratory tools, announced it has licensed intellectual property to Fluidigm Corp., a South San Francisco, Calif., microfluidic tool developer.

The licensed IP covers certain microfluidic devices and will apply in the United States and other major biotechnology markets. Fluidigm is the first licensee of the technology. The company expects others will follow.
