Polymer developer announces display order

March 14, 2003 — Cambridge Display Technology, a Cambridge, England, developer of polymer technology for plat panel displays, announced the first sales order for its light emitting polymer (LEP) display products.

Trident Displays, a division of Trident Microsystems Ltd. Group, placed the order. Trident’s displays are used in the passenger information display market, among others, where Cambridge says its LEP displays offer the advantages of wide viewing angles, high brightness and low power consumption.

The segmented display modules use a yellow polymer and measures 1.7 inches diagonally. Cambridge Display said it intends to offer a variety of colors, sizes and configurations for different application markets.
