Nano education group names director

April 7, 2003 — Author and consultant Deb Newberry has been named executive director of The NanoTechnology Group Inc., a Texas-based nonprofit education consortium, according to a news release.

Newberry, co-author of “The Next Big Thing is Really Small: How Nanotechnology will Change Your Business,” will help develop sample curriculum modules in nanoscale science for kindergarten through 12th grades. She will work with Judith Light Feather, the group’s president and founder, the release said.

The organization also said it named Robert Giasolli vice president of project development. Giasolli, president and founder of Mini-Resources of Irvine, Calif., will contact private foundations and state agencies that could serve as funding sources for NanoTechnology Group’s programs.
