May 13, 2003 – PHS MEMS, a Grenoble, France-based MEMS manufacturer, has launched production-ready devices and services for wireless hand-held equipment, according to a company news release.
PHS’ Integrated Passive Devices (IPD), designed for direct integration onto a chip or radio-frequency module, are made for mobile phones, wireless PDAs and laptop computers using WiFi connections. The on-chip devices eliminate the need for separate parts and offer improved cost and durability, the company said.
