Air Products invests in Nanotechnologies

June 9, 2003 — Air Products and Chemicals Inc. of Lehigh Valley, Pa., has made an equity investment in Nanotechnologies Inc. of Austin, Texas. The two companies also have signed a joint development agreement, according to a news release.

Air Products is a global supplier of electronic materials, hydrogen, helium and select performance chemicals with 17,200 employees and 2002 revenues of $5.4 billion. Nanotechnologies is a privately funded developer of nanoparticles for coatings, anti-microbial products, electronic materials and other applications.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed, according to a Nanotechnologies spokeswoman.
