June 23, 2003 – Infinite Technology Corp. (ITC), Dallas, TX, has announced plans acquire a majority interest in MultiMedia SOC (MMSOC), an Austin, TX, fabless chip company.

ITC will invest cash into MMSOC in exchange for up to 80% of the company, as well as name three of its people to MMSOC’s board.

MMSOC gives ITC expertise with multimedia system-on-chip (SoC) devices, providing “an immediate SoC solution for several of our other business ventures,” said ITC CEO Tim Smith.
