Rosetta Biosoftware, Affymetrix share data

June 18, 2003 — Rosetta Biosoftware and Affymetrix Inc. have teamed up to boost integration of their systems, according to a news release.

Rosetta, a Kirkland, Wash.-based developer of bioinformatics software, has licensed use of the application programming interfaces (APIs) that Santa Clara, Calif.-based Affymetrix makes available for access to its software systems and data files, and use of the content Affymetrix provides for its GeneChip microarrays. The goal is to allow mutual customers to rapidly and conveniently load and analyze GeneChip array experimental data, the release said.

Affymetrix, listed on the Nasdaq, closed Tuesday at 21.60, down from 22.66 Monday.
