JULY 1–CHARLOTTE, N.C.-White Knight Engineered Products, a manufacturer of reusable and disposable textile products, announced today the sale of its non-woven apparel line to DuPont Nonwovens (Wilmington, DE).
The agreement includes the sale of White Knight’s full line of non-woven cleanroom apparel, including bouffants and caps, lab coats, frocks, coveralls and shoe covers.
“The sale of our non-woven apparel line allows White Knight to more aggressively pursue development of new woven products,” says Scott Banks, president of White Knight.
When DuPont management approached the company about the possibility of purchasing the apparel line, White Knight saw an opportunity to “marshal its resources to focus on several new key initiatives in the woven area, he adds.
Troy Ohmes, White Knight’s vice president of development, agrees, adding that both companies have been working together to ensure a seamless transition.
“We look forward to working with DuPont through the transition and then focusing our efforts on the implementation of a number of new woven product innovations,” he adds.
