Pericom buys FPC distributor

July 9, 2003 – Pericom Semiconductor, San Jose, CA, has acquired SaRonix LLC, Menlo Park, CA, a manufacturer and distributor of frequency control products. Terms of the deal were not dislosed, but the purchase price is expeted to be under $10 million, mostly in the form of convertible secured loans.

Saronix, which has an annual revenue run rate of $20 million, develops FPCs to be used as timing devices in various electronic products.
