Synetics expands testing capabilities

JULY 23–PORTLAND, Ore.–Synetics Solutions, Inc., a supplier of integrated automation and subsystem solutions for the semiconductor equipment industry, has expanded of its in-house performance testing capabilities at its 125,000-square-feet headquarters here.

Synetics offers flexible manufacturing, engineering and performance testing services. The facility is composed of the automation reliability center and the environmental test and cleanroom test laboratories.

The 6,000- square-foot reliability center is composed of a lab where prototype robot systems and components are tested, and a test area where the reliability of automation systems is continuously evaluated. The facility also features 200 square feet of cleanroom space with ISO Class 2 cleanliness.

The environmental test lab supports testing and development of temperature and humidity control products. These products are typically used for lithography equipment where precise control of temperature and humidity is required. Synetics has the capability to analyze the outgassing of materials and airborne molecular contamination (AMC). The company provides products and consulting services to eliminate AMCs.

The cleanroom test lab is 700 square feet of ISO Class 3 cleanroom is dedicated to the study of wafer surface contamination. Synetics’ latest investment, KLA-Tencor’s Surfscan SP1, has now been integrated to assist in contamination studies of components and Particle per Wafer Pass (PWP) of EFEM systems.
