Toppan schedules 4Q03 for RFID chip production

July 9, 2003 – Toppan Printing Co., Tokyo, Japan, says it will begin volume production of dual-band RFID chips in December 2003. The “T-Junction” chip, which will include an integrated antenna and accomodate the 2.45GHz and 850-950MHz frequencies, will be manufactured with the help of Japan’s Brilliant Technologies Co. and foundry Chartered Semiconductor.
