BEI supplies more MEMS for Predator

Aug. 4, 2003 — BEI Technologies Inc. will supply another round of MEMS sensors for the Predator missile program, according to a news release.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, which develops the shoulder-fired anti-tank weapon for the U.S. Marines, awarded the contract to San Francisco-based BEI for more than 1,200 quartz rate sensors at a cost of about $1 million. BEI supplied 1,000 sensors to Lockheed last year.

BEI, listed on Nasdaq, was trading at 13.08 midday Monday, down from Friday’s close at 13.11.
