Kingston invests in Elpida

August 19, 2003 – DRAM chipmaker Kingston Technology, Fountain Valley, CA, has signed a deal to provide technology to Elpida Memory, Tokyo, Japan, in exchange for non-voting stock. The deal, worth approximately $50 million, will allow Kingston to procure chips amounting to 5% to 10% of Elpida’s capacity.
