Philips shows off mobile display

August 20, 2003 – Royal Philips Electronics, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, has added to its line of active matrix liquid crystal display technology geared towards the next generation of mobile phones. The new low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) module integrates the DC/DC IC and external capacitors onto the glass, resulting in fewer components, tighter display margins and lower costs.
