Raytheon, IBM ink chip design deal

August 5, 2003 – Raytheon, Lexington, MA, and IBM, Armonk, NY, have announced a deal to design and market systems for the aerospace and defense industries.

The deal, worth up to $100 million over five years, partners IBM’s custom chip and chip system design group with Raytheon, which has expertise in defense electronics and aerospace and defense.

The two companies will create a project office in Lexington, MA to oversee projects.
