Sept. 26, 2003 — Altair Nanotechnologies Inc., a Reno, Nev.-based developer and supplier of nanocrystalline materials, named Douglas Ellsworth president of subsidiary Altair Nanomaterials Inc., according to a news release.
Ellsworth joined Altair in 2000 as director of administration and operations support. He was named vice president of sales and marketing in 2002. He has worked as a manager and chemist at several firms, including BHP Minerals’ Center for Minerals Technology, Skyline Labs and Utah International Inc.’s Minerals Laboratory.
Kenneth Lyon also was named Altair Nanomaterials’ vice president of business development. He joined the company in 1999.
Altair, listed on Nasdaq, closed Thursday at 1.18, down from 1.25 Wednesday.
