AMD: 3Q sales “encouraging”

September 4, 2003 – AMD CFO Robert Rivet says business in July and August showed signs of improvement but that the company’s September sales would be the key to 3Q performance.

Rivet’s comments were made at Smith Barney Technology conference in New York City. He called sales in the first two months of the quarter “encouraging,” and put the company in a position to take “significant market share” in 2004 over its current 20% share.
