Intel to set up South Korean shop

August 29, 2003 – Intel Corp., Santa Clara, CA, is adding to its list of Southeast Asian investments by declaring it will open a R&D center in Seoul by the end of this year. The facility will work on digital home and wireless communications, including ultra wideband technologies.

In recent weeks, Intel has also promised to expand its R&D presence in Taiwan and establish a chip assembly and test center in China.
