Metron acquires TEL line

September 18, 2003 – Metron Technology NV, San Jose, CA, has acquired the Eclipse physical vapor deposition equipment product line from Tokyo Electron Ltd. Terms of the deal, first proposed in July, were not disclosed. Metron will absorb approximately 75 employees for the Eclipse line, which has a worldwide installed base of approximately 400 systems.
