Sept. 29, 2003 — Mitsui & Co. Ltd. plans to invest $35.7 million during the next five years for nanotech-related research and development for life sciences and environmental uses, according to Asia Pulse.
The project involves the Japanese trading company’s small tech research centers, which are devoted to biology, ecology, carbon nanotubes and devices. The latest plan boosts Mitsui’s investment in its Device Nanotech Research Institute, formed earlier this year.
