MobilePro seeks Korean wireless venture

September 11, 2003 – MobilePro Corp., Rockville, MD, says it has signed a deal with South Korea’s RF Microelectronics Laboratory to jointly develop ICs for RF transceivers using the ZigBee standard (IEEE 802.15.4), a wireless RF technology established to create low-cost, low-power, two-way communications chips. MobilePro already has begun developing a ZigBee RF integrated semiconductor circuit.
