Mosel Vitelic to sell ProMOS shares

September 2, 2003 – Mosel Vitelic, Taipei, Taiwan, has applied with the Taiwan Stock Exchange to sell 90 million shares of ProMOS Technologies, nearly 11% of its stake in the DRAM chipmaker. Infineon, a former partner in ProMOS, recently sold off its remaining shares in the venture.

Dow Jones reports that Mosel Vitelic has already missed payments on two separate bond issues this year, and plans to issue an overseas convertible bond to solidify its financial footing.
