Nam Tai breaks ground in China

September 19, 2003 – Nam Tai Electronics has begun construction of new manufacturing facilities in Shenzen, China. The 250,000 square-foot facility, which will cost $40 million, will produce LCD and RF modules, and CMOS sensors for cellular phones. Completion of the building is expected in late 2004, with production beginning in 2Q05.
