Nanometrix names CEO

Sept. 11, 2003 — Nanometrix Inc. has named Patrick O’Connor chief executive officer, according to a news release.

O’Connor previously worked as an entrepreneur and product developer for several firms, including Bragg Photonics, Hoya Corp., Essilor International and Monsanto. He began his career at U.S. Steel Corp.

The Montreal-based firm develops nanoscale assembly systems. The technology is capable of organizing and assembling molecules and nanoparticles ranging from 1 nanometer to 100 microns.
