September 16, 2003 – Texas Instruments’ RFID systems division says it is developing UHF RFID tags for use in supply chain and logistics applications.
“We see a solid business case emerging as the entire supply chain is working toward an integrated RFID solution,” said VP David Slinger. “The market is clearly moving in that direction.”
TI RFID recently produced its 300 millionth RFID transponder, and has opened a new manufacturing line in Malaysia, doubling its production capacity for 13.56MHz smart label RFID inlays.
