With a $1 million investment in its first year, the center will focus on developing power design systems utilizing Fairchild’s multi-market parts.

Among the projects at the Germany center are a color TV power supply with 70% fewer components, an automotive ignition control system with 60% less board space, and an ultra-slim power supply design for an LCD TV.
