Magma releases methodologies for UMC, SMIC

October 9, 2003 – Magma Design Automation has validated an RTL-to-GDSII reference flow for both UMC’s 0.18-micron and 90nm process technologies, and SMIC’s 0.18-micron technology using two SoC designs. The UMC reference methodologies are already being used by WIS Technologies for a video compression chip, and by Faraday, which has validated multiple silicon IP cores and libraries using the flow.
