Nano-Tex to open R&D center in India

Oct. 31, 2003 — Nano-Tex LLC plans to open a technology development center in India, its first R&D facility outside the United States, according to The Financial Express of India.

The California-based developer of nanoengineered fabric technologies said in the report that the center will be set up within a year and would focus on textile technology and nanomaterial sciences. The company, which has an office in Delhi, has not yet picked a location, the report said.

The Financial Express also reported that Nano-Tex has formed a partnership with India’s Madura Garments. The alliance kicks off with the launch of Resista, a stain- and wrinkle-resistant line of shirts from Madura’s Peter England brand.
