New IEST officers for 2003-2004

OCT. 2–ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill–The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) has a new panel of elected officers for 2003-2004.

Robert L. (Andy) Anderson, now the president of IEST, is a test project engineer on naval programs at United Defense L.P.

He has served the IEST as fiscal vice president; director of the design, test, and evaluation division; technical vice president; and general chair of ESTECH 2003. He has also taught IEST tutorials on environmental test technology and management.

The other newly elected officers are:

–CleanRooms’ Editorial Advisory Board member, Jan Eudy, president-elect;

–Gordon M. Ely, technical vice president, Contamination Control;

–Fredric F. Fey, Technical Vice President (Design, Test, and Evaluation/Product Reliability)

–Richard J. Eppelheimer, Membership Vice President;

–Michael A. Fitzpatrick, National Director Vice President.

Once Eudy serves a one-year term as president-elect, she will then become president for one year. Ely, Fey, Eppelheimer, and Fitzpatrick will serve two-year terms.

Jan Eudy oversees research and development, directs the quality management system, and supervises ISO registration at all cleanroom division locations for Cintas Cleanroom Resources. In addition, Eudy supports Cintas’ validation and sterile services. She previously served as technical vice president, contamination control.

Ely is section leader of the IDs/Packaging section at Nelson Laboratories where he specializes in microbial identifications and packaging validations. He is also a member of several IEST Working Groups and serves as IEST liaison to the US TAG for ISO/TC 209.

As president of VibroAcoustics Technologies, Fey develops support services for the test community ranging from seminars and on-site training to installation of shaker test systems. He is also president of the IEST Chicago Chapter.

Eppelheimer works for IMI Cornelius Inc. He was re-elected as membership vice president following two years of service. Rich is past president of the IEST Chicago Chapter.

Fitzpatrick, a regular speaker at CleanRooms’ conferences and exhibitions, has been a senior member of IEST since 1990 and was re-elected as national director vice president. He has served as IEST Arizona Chapter president and has worked on several IEST Working Groups. Fitzpatrick is also a member of the Arizona State University ACE Cleanroom Task Force.
