Zyvex releases new tools and technologies

Oct. 3, 2003 – Zyvex Corp. announced new product launches, including process technology for carbon nanotubes and tools for micro and nanomanipulation, according to a news release.

Zyvex Dried Film (ZDF) Carbon Nanotube Solutions disperses and suspends nanotubes in common organic solvents. ZDF dissolves in the solvents and mixes with a variety of other materials, creating high-performance composites, the release said.

The Richardson, Texas-based company’s new microgripper systems, micromachined silicon structures for research, development and production, are capable of manipulating parts with features from one micrometer to 500 micrometers. NanoSharp Probes let researchers manipulate nanotubes and nanoparticles, and are compatible with Zyvex’s S100 Nanomanipulator System launched earlier this year.
