Protiveris is leasing about 7,000 square feet of space for offices, laboratories and production. The move into the larger facility, about double its former space, was paid in part by a $5 million venture financing round earlier this year, the release said.

The firm expects to be manufacturing its VeriScan 3000 within a year. The system, which monitors the movement of microcantilevers by focusing tiny laser beams on the microcantilevers’ free ends, offers real-time, simultaneous detection.
