December 22, 2003 – Semiconductor exports from the Philippines during 2003 are expected to be roughly the same as 2002, at around $24.26 million. A recovery in 4Q03 would merely offset a 4.5% decline in exports during the first nine months of the year, according to Arthur Tan, director of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Inc. (Seipi). Tan added that he projects the industry to grow 10% in 2004.
