Inotera boosting capex through 2006

December 15, 2003 – Inotera Memories Inc., a JV between Taiwan’s Nanya Technology Corp. and Germany’s Infineon Technologies AG, plans to invest $2.2 billion over the next three years to build up its 300mm wafer plant, used primarily for DRAM chips.

Production is expected to begin in 2H04 at 20,000 wafers/month, and ramp to 50,000 wafers/month by 2006, when the company expects to list its shares, according to Dow Jones.
