L.A. group to help promote Israeli biotech

Dec. 24, 2003 — Larta, a Los Angeles-based technology business think tank, announced it has received a grant from the U.S.-Israel Science & Technology Foundation to promote biotechnology collaboration between the two countries.

Larta is one of seven organizations that will help promote Israeli biotechnology projects and companies, according to a report in Larta VOX, the organization’s online weekly magazine.

Under the initiative, Larta will create entrepreneurship courses for Israeli businesspeople using Internet-based learning tools. The project will aim to find companies ripe for collaboration with the United States. Ten companies will be invited to a training program organized by Larta.
