MWG Biotech helps create Irish microarray facility

Dec. 5, 2003 — MWG Biotech AG, a Germany-based tool and technology developer for life science, has teamed up with an Irish university and research center to establish a microarray facility, according to a news release.

MWG Biotech will provide microarrays and bioinformatics design technology to the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre at University College Cork. Financial details were not disclosed.

The center’s 50 scientists and clinicians research how intestinal bacteria influences health and disease as well as develop new treatment therapies.
