Renesas boosts flash investment

December 26, 2003 – Renesas, the JV of Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric, plans to invest another 33 billion yen ($307.7 million) to help boost monthly production capacity of AG-AND flash memory. The infusion pushes the company’s total capital expenditure in its current fiscal year (ending March 2004) to 123 billion yen ($1.15 billion).
