Toshiba, SanDisk to build NAND plant

December 4, 2003 – Toshiba Corp. and SanDisk plan to build a facility for producing NAND flash memory chips by 2005, according to the Kyodo News International. The $1.9 billion plant in Yokkaichi, Japan, scheduled to begin construction in October 2005, will focus on 300mm wafers with 70nm process technologies, with an output of 10,000 wafers/month.
