Canada looks for nano leader

Jan. 16, 2004 — Canada’s National Research Council began a search this week for a permanent director of its National Institute for Nanotechnology in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Council will seek candidates from academic and industrial research programs around the world, according to a news release. The deadline for applications is March 1 and the new director is expected to be in place by the summer.

The candidate chosen will succeed Janusz Lusztyk, who has been acting director since October 2003.
