The Pittsburgh-based trade association said the “Introduction to MEMS” DVD, which is available to the public for $125, is an eight-minute look at the world of MEMS. It explains where the microtechnology can be found today, where it’s headed why it’s important.

The group said the DVD is designed as a marketing tool that could help MEMS companies educate customers and investors. It also includes a segment on how the devices are made and how they work, which might make it useful for university professors teaching introductory engineering courses.
