South Korea chip exports to rise 18% in ’04

January 20, 2004 – The South Korean government predicted semiconductor exports in 2004 would rise to $23 billion, an 18% increase from 2003.

Minister of Information and Communication Daeje Chin said that the country plans to boost overall IT exports by 22% to $70 billion, with strong increases in exports of flat-panel displays and wireless telecommunications equipment.
