January 12, 2004 – Veeco chairman and CEO Edward Braun has been named as the recipient of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International’s (SEMI) annual Bob Graham award, for his efforts to help reduce high R&D costs and minimizing cyclical market effects on smaller equipment companies.

The annual award recognizes individuals’ outstanding contributions in marketing that help generate growth in the semiconductor equipment and materials industry. It was established five years in honor of the late industry leader, who was part of Intel’s founding team and helped establish industry stalwarts including Applied Materials and Novellus.
